FAQ's

Do you offer postpartum support?
Yes! As your labor doula, I will stay with you until baby's first feeding in order to be sure you and your family are comfortable and settling in.
As your postpartum doula, I will be available to 'mother the mother'. My goal is to ensure that you and your family are adjusting to your new lives with a newborn. I can help with feeding, light housekeeping, meal prep, assisting with newborn care, sibling care, referrals to local resources, and baby soothing techniques.

How do you deal with complications at birth?
I will support you and your family through any complications that may arise. I will not provide medical interventions or make medical decisions on your behalf. I will provide emotional support for you and your birth team. I will remind you that our goal is for a safe delivery. I will be your biggest cheerleader through any hurdles that may occur during pregnancy or delivery.
Does a doula replace nursing staff?
No. A doula is a woman's helper and my job is to support you in having a healthy and safe birth. I cannot give medical advice, make medical decisions on your behalf, or give medical interventions. I will strive to help give you evidence based research so that you can make the best decisions for your family.
